Whale Scout
Whale Scout leads the public in land-based whale watching experiences. They channel people’s interest and passion about whales into on the ground salmon habitat restoration projects protecting the primary food source of struggling orcas in Puget Sound.

Our Mission
The mission was to transform Whale Scout’s online presence into a dynamic, easy-to-navigate hub that supports their critical work in protecting endangered whales. By leveraging the existing WordPress database as a headless CMS and building a fresh front end with Next.js, we ensured that the site could handle the wealth of data while offering a seamless user experience. The redesign aimed to make information accessible—featuring events, restoration updates, podcasts, and news—while highlighting collaborators, emphasizing the importance of their mission, and integrating a store to drive fundraising efforts.
